It offers Professional Dance, Musical Theatre & Teacher Training and is accredited by the Council for Dance Education & Training. A limited number of places are available, funded by the Dept for Education & Skills. Students follow the curriculum for the National Diploma in Professional Dance or the National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. The diplomas, which are awarded by Trinity College London, are compulsory for students with funded places and carry a "level 4" rating in the national qualifications framework.
The College aims to provide the broadest possible training, giving each student individual attention to enable them to graduate with professional confidence, secure in the knowledge that they are prepared for whatever the industry has to offer.

The main emphasis of the course concentrates on practical training in a range of Musical Theatre and Dance subjects and takes place at the specially designed and built spacious Studio complex which opened in 1987, and at our Musical Theatre annexe - which, combined, offer 10 Dance studios, Musical Theatre, Drama, Singing, and Music facilities.
A fully equipped Studio Theatre & Workshop Performance Area provide the students with 'In House', performance areas allowing them to gain experience in a wide range of musical and dance events.

Visiting any theatre you will notice LTA graduates starring in major roles in many Musicals and Dramatic stage productions throughout the world. They also achieve great success in the Music, Film & Television industries.
